Bowker at BEA!
Bowker enjoyed a great event at Book Expo America in our own backyard – the Jacob Javitz Convention Center in New York City. We met with many publishers and showed off some new products that will help them improve their data and market their books better.
Books In Print® IntelliMarket™ was launched -- a business intelligence engine that mines data from Books In Print to help publishers navigate trends and market share by category for themselves and their competitors.
We also unveiled Bowker MarketLinks™ -- an exciting new technology we like to call “the ISBN for the digital age™” enables linking to many information sources from a title’s (or chapter’s!) DOI link (Digital Object Identifier).
We always enjoy the publisher scene and, just as Richard Rogers Bowker was close friends with many publishers, we are happy to continue the tradition. After all, this is how we are able to provide libraries with the best information possible -- by keeping in touch with the source!
